Description

History Pic No. X: "Hugor of the Hill is crowned by the Seven"

HUGOR of the Hill was the first King of the Andals in Andalos. His realm was extensive, spreading from the hills of northern Andalos to the southern marches, now called the Flatlands, in the south. The Seven also promised him and his descendants great kingdoms in a foreign land. The Andals later crossed the Narrow Sea in the east of Essos and invaded Westeros.
THE SEVEN are either seven individual gods or respectively seven aspects of the one true God who is worshipped in Westeros. This is deeply inspired by the Bible, where you also find seven aspects of God or seven spirits. From left to right you see THE MOTHER, Hugor (the human king), THE FATHER; THE MAIDEN, THE CRONE, THE WARRIOR, THE SMITH and THE STRANGER. The hight of the figures is inspired by medieval as well as Egyptian painting and called status perspective - more important figures are drawn bigger than less important ones. As Hugor is only a human being and the other seven are of divine origin, they are bigger.
According to the Seven-Pointed Star (the equivalent to the Bible in Westeros), King Hugor is a major part of the Faith of the Seven. He was supposedly crowned by the Father himself who pulled down seven stars to make his crown. The Maid brought forth a girl supple as a willow with eyes like deep blue pools that Hugor took as his first wife. The Mother made her fertile, and she bore him forty-four mighty sons as foretold by the Crone. The Warrior gave each son strength of arms and the Smith wrought each a suit of iron plate.
